Status of Restaurant under Covid restrictions:
At this time we are in the Red Tier. This mean indoor dining at 24% capacity. This means at total of 46 patrons in the restaurant at one time. This would put 18 in the restaurant area, 18 in the bar and 10 in the banquet room. Bars are to be closed except in restaurants that provide food. The options were discussed.

Garbage collection for part time residents.
Per Karen after some discussion, CSD will look into a service where they provide a bag to the residents for a fee and the residents would be responsible to drop the bags off at the CSD office.

Donovan Dam
We are still waiting for Mr. Pedoti to be able to help with the repair of the head gate. Due to equipment problems he has had to put off the work. Larry pointed out that it is getting close to storm season and the reservoir will be filling soon so we will need to get the dam fixed.

Request from property owner Ron Brack to put the phone number and e-mail address on the dues statements. Karen stated out that this may be a privacy issue. Larry also voted no on this — POA Office manager Amber, pointed out that this would in fact be a privacy issue. All members voted no. The same owner also asked if the POA would be willing to allow him to assume responsibility for the road easement leading to his property. After some discussion it was decided that although Mr. Brack would not take advantage of it, it would set precedence and open to abuse. All members voted no.

Meeting opened to online members for questions.

  • Jerry Jefferson asked who is the contractor for snow removal? — California Pines POA handles the plowing — part of the dues goes to plowing and road maintenance.
  • What size of garbage bag would be required for pick up? He was referred to CSD.
  • Will non-owners be charged for the annual fireworks display? We ask the city and county to help with the costs.
  • When was the last audit? — completed just a few month ago.
  • What is the purpose of the RV park? — to have a spot for out of town owners to have a spot to stay and to make use of the lodge and restaurant.

A new owner — asked if the dues was keeping the restaurant afloat why keep it. How can it be more efficient? The lodge and restaurant are owned by the POA. It is an asset for the owners.

At this time many businesses are struggling but for the most part the amount that the POA subsidizes the restaurant is minimal. When the hospital was being built the crews stayed at the lodge as well as the crews that were working on the frontier lines stayed and ate at the lodge. Also many of the fire crews stayed and ate at the lodge. It also is a place for the owners that don’t have homes here to stay and eat.

Motion by Larry to adjourn the meeting 2nd by Richard — motion passed meeting adjourned.

Karen Hallman, Secretary
